Purple day...

My Niece Ysia turned 4 last August 6, 2011. Planning the entire party for her is a little bit tough, since she has this do's and don't when it comes to her party. She doesn't have any particular favorite character like the other kids do, so that idea alone is quite tough. However, what we did is to incorporate the entire party on the things that she loves. And that include girls stuff like cosmetics, accessories and nail polish. Of course, she wants her party to be in purple that's her MAJOR rule.

Goody bags:

Since it's an intimate celebration, I decided to used takeout boxes for her goody bag. I simply love using it since it's easy to decorate plus it doesn't take too much item to fill it up. I put assorted purple candies inside in which we bought at SM Supermarket.

Cookies:

As part of the treat for the kids, we bought assorted cookies in cosmetic shape. Ysia loves it, the moment she saw it on the table. Even the adults were amazed. I packed the cookies individually in a cellophane bag and added a ribbon and tag. I also placed it in a clear bowl with shredded purple tissue paper that I bought in National Bookstore. I made the tag using plain white paper board and the spare gift wrapper that I used on the goody bag.

Cake:

Ysia wants her cake in purple, so we decided to made it customized. We came up with nail polish cake design for her. We even requested to put 4 ml on the side of the bottle, since its her 4th birthday.

Banner:

I love making birthday banners, its inexpensive and it plays a major role in your dessert table. I used gift wrapper and cartolina that I bought in National Bookstore and came up with this:

Other treats:

Who will ever thought that a regular quake and cream-O cake bar that you usually saw in local supermarket will make a big difference in your dessert table?... We bought two packs of each items and alternately put in a big purple and placed it in a big white tray, we also added cocktail toothpick on it to make it a little extra special.

We also have lollipop mallows as an alternative to those big and expensive lollipops that we bought at SM Supermarket for 20.00 pesos per piece. I also added purple ribbon and sticker on it and then I placed it in a recycled box which I covered with gift wrapper and shredded tissue paper.

Also, check out the napkin ring that I made using gift wrapper:

And since we love taking pictures, I made this purple tree background using photoshop and have it printed on tarpaulin.

The birthday celebrant enjoying her BIG day :)

Ysia's glam rock party

Last Saturday (august 7, 2010) we celebrated Ysia's 3rd birthday. Since she love the look of miley Cyrus and we (her aunts and her mom) love avril lavigne's look, we decided to come up with a GLAM ROCK birthday party for her.

It took us two months to plan the entire party, with a limited budget and a little bit of creativity everything went well... ( I guess LOL!)

Here's how we did it:

Invitation - It took me 3 days to conceptualize the invitation and 1 day to make the layout.
My sister and I wanted a cute and somehow unique invitation for her, with her photo
on it of course!. And so, Concert ticket invitation became the choice.

Loot Bags- Since hindi pa masyadong rampant ang glam rock party for kids na ginamit,
it's been very difficult for us to look for the right one that will match with our
theme. Until, I stumble with this zebra print bag and decided to use it instead as
party bag for kids.

To make it more attractive I added some Japanese paper on it in a color of pink and
purple. Pink for the girls while the purple is for the boys. I also used stickers on it as
thank you note instead of gift tag.

Inside the bag we put different items such as:

For the girls: For the boys:

Mini plastic microphone Mini plastic guitar (battery operated)
bubble in a shape of a guitar bubble in shape of a guitar
colorful garter headbands striking colored yoyo
tattoo sticker tattoo sticker
plastic balloon plastic balloon
chocolates and candies chocolates and candies

Decor - We purchased fabrics for the table cloth (since alam namin na mahihirapan kaming
mag hanap ng table cloth in the theme that we want) We were able to buy zebra print
fabric, cloth with detailed snake skin design in deep purple and fuchsia geena cloth.

All fabric is Php 20 per yard.

And we ask someone to sewn it for us.

As for the tables and chairs, we just rented it from MTM party needs located in Silang
Cavite.

Tarp - I made all the layout, from the poster type tarp that we hang outside the venue to
welcome the guest up to the backdrop.

Balloons - I'm glad we were able to find some metallic star Mylar balloons that I used as
centerpiece. We also purchased 3 packs of metallic balloons in size 12 in three different
colors such as pink, purple and white.

Cake and cupcakes - Ordered from Sweet Solution Bakeshop. My sister gave them a photo of the
cake that we wanted and we're so happy with the result! they were able
to pull it off!

As for the taste, since we ordered chocolate cake it does taste good.
But the cupcakes taste like your typical chocolate cupcake.

Face Painting - From Folsom Arts, we had a great time on this. It's worth the price.

Magician - Hindi ko alam kung san sya nakuha ng sister ko, but he did a really nice job!
Kids and adults are all pleased ;)
