Yzhi's Barbie Party @ Home

Last Sunday (March 11, 2012) was Yzhi's 7th birthday. Her mom loves the previous barbie party that I hosted for Stephanie way back 2010. So here I am again making the same party but with some additional details.

INVITATION

Below is her invitation that I made. The invitation was placed in a pink envelop.

OUTFIT

I made a dark pink tutu for her and I also asked her mom to buy a white plain shirt, black leggings and a headband. The shirt and leggings were bought at SM Department store while the headband was purchased at a local vendor for Php 25 pesos or around $ 0.60. The shirt was printed with barbie silhouette using heat press at a local shop for 70 pesos or $ 1.66, I then added some pink beads since it looks too plain. And since Yzhi's doesn't have a ballet flats that will match on the outfit, her mom decided to buy her at SM department store, it's a good thing that she was able to bought with a same shade of color as her skirt. By the way the brand is "Sugar Kids".

PRE- BIRTHDAY PHOTOSHOOT

I decided to take a photo of the celebrant before the event so I can used the photo for my dessert table. The photo was taken outside of our home, I used white cloth and old tarpaulin as a background. Her mom was surprised when I show this to her, she said that it looks like it was taken at the studio. :)

PARTY PROPS

The party will not be complete without the life size doll box. So here's my new doll box that my sister and I made using a refrigerator box it's a bit bigger compare to the one that I previously made to Stephanie.

LET THE PARTY BEGIN...

As additional decoration I used black bag (trash bag) as background of my dessert table.

Hand sanitizer as party favor for adullts.
my lollipop topiary using size 3" styro ball.

Quake bar that was bought at a local super market

Personalized Chocolate bar

Yzhi and friend :)

Too bad I wasn't able to take photo of the cake and cupcake, since I feel so tired already that I went home just before the party starts. I even forgot to bring our cam with me so I just borrowed my boyfriend sister's ipad instead. I hope everyone had a great time :)

Disney cars party favor and tarp layout (countdown cont.)

Okay so here's the continuation of my Disney cars party countdown preparation for next month (march 2012).

The invitation that I made last time is just a sample invitation using my nephew's photo's and info. Anyway I'll post here my finish items once I'm done with the invitation together with the real celebrant's photo and info.

Lately my sister and I did some brain storming on what favor are we going to make for the party. So here's what we came up with:

Car key ballpen

plush toy

lollipop hand wash towel

Packaging for the items are DIY :)

And as for the tarp layout, here's the one that I made using the celebrants photo and information.

The celebrant's mom loved the layout that I made for the tarp, so all I need is to print it in 4x4 tarpaulin. As for the party favor the celebrant's mom chose the car key and the hand wash towel lollipop.

DISNEY CARS PARTY COUNTDOWN

My sister ask me to conceptualized a Disney cars birthday party for next month (march 2012). I started working on the invitation and here's my final product:

Disney cars ticket invites:

And here's the other one:

I made two invitation just to give an option to the celebrant's mom. But when my sister showed these to her she actually wants both invitation.

So the final verdict is that I'll be making both .of these invites.

RICO'S TRANSFORMER PARTY

This is a super late post... I actually made this party last Sept 2011, I have forgotten about this if not with my sister's Facebook account... Thankfully she was able to save these photos.

So here it is, the transformer birthday invitation that I made for my brother in law's nephew.

A day after I gave this invitation to the celebrants mom, I received a message from her telling me how much she loved it. :)

and here's the goody bag that I made using take-out box:

DIY TUTU

I saw a couple of tutorial online on no-sew tutu, and I say to myself why not give it a try?!... Besides, I have a spare 5 yards fuchsia pink tulle that I can use in making this cute little skirt.

Checkout my finished product:

It took me an hour to finished it and my niece simply loved it... not bad for a first timer LOL!

SOFIA'S PRINCESS PARTY

It's been a while since the last time I posted something here in my page. It's hard balancing your work and doing what you love to do. But anyway here I am again I'm back on track!

Well, last month we had a party at home for my niece Sofia who turned 3 years old. Check out the details of the party that I made:

Here's the tarp layout that I made:

I then printed it in 4x4 tarpaulin and placed it in the food table. I also added some balloon arc in combination of pink and white

The invitation was made out of my spare pink paper board and satin ribbon

Here's our little princess cakes:
3 princess dolls that represent her age we divide her name on each dolls which is
Anna Sofia Alyssa. The cakes are all in pink but 3 different shades light, medium and hot pink

As for the stage background, I made a princess castle out of styro.
I also added balloon column in each side of the castle.

and of course the table set up:
I made a flower pom pom and hang it in the middle of the table and added some spare balloon from the previous party as an additional decorations.

Photo Booth:

Using white cloth as background I came up with my mini studio for the guests:
Here's some of their pic.

Everyone had a wonderful time :)

Purple day...

My Niece Ysia turned 4 last August 6, 2011. Planning the entire party for her is a little bit tough, since she has this do's and don't when it comes to her party. She doesn't have any particular favorite character like the other kids do, so that idea alone is quite tough. However, what we did is to incorporate the entire party on the things that she loves. And that include girls stuff like cosmetics, accessories and nail polish. Of course, she wants her party to be in purple that's her MAJOR rule.

Goody bags:

Since it's an intimate celebration, I decided to used takeout boxes for her goody bag. I simply love using it since it's easy to decorate plus it doesn't take too much item to fill it up. I put assorted purple candies inside in which we bought at SM Supermarket.

Cookies:

As part of the treat for the kids, we bought assorted cookies in cosmetic shape. Ysia loves it, the moment she saw it on the table. Even the adults were amazed. I packed the cookies individually in a cellophane bag and added a ribbon and tag. I also placed it in a clear bowl with shredded purple tissue paper that I bought in National Bookstore. I made the tag using plain white paper board and the spare gift wrapper that I used on the goody bag.

Cake:

Ysia wants her cake in purple, so we decided to made it customized. We came up with nail polish cake design for her. We even requested to put 4 ml on the side of the bottle, since its her 4th birthday.

Banner:

I love making birthday banners, its inexpensive and it plays a major role in your dessert table. I used gift wrapper and cartolina that I bought in National Bookstore and came up with this:

Other treats:

Who will ever thought that a regular quake and cream-O cake bar that you usually saw in local supermarket will make a big difference in your dessert table?... We bought two packs of each items and alternately put in a big purple and placed it in a big white tray, we also added cocktail toothpick on it to make it a little extra special.

We also have lollipop mallows as an alternative to those big and expensive lollipops that we bought at SM Supermarket for 20.00 pesos per piece. I also added purple ribbon and sticker on it and then I placed it in a recycled box which I covered with gift wrapper and shredded tissue paper.

Also, check out the napkin ring that I made using gift wrapper:

And since we love taking pictures, I made this purple tree background using photoshop and have it printed on tarpaulin.

The birthday celebrant enjoying her BIG day :)
