Purple day...

My Niece Ysia turned 4 last August 6, 2011. Planning the entire party for her is a little bit tough, since she has this do's and don't when it comes to her party. She doesn't have any particular favorite character like the other kids do, so that idea alone is quite tough. However, what we did is to incorporate the entire party on the things that she loves. And that include girls stuff like cosmetics, accessories and nail polish. Of course, she wants her party to be in purple that's her MAJOR rule.

Goody bags:

Since it's an intimate celebration, I decided to used takeout boxes for her goody bag. I simply love using it since it's easy to decorate plus it doesn't take too much item to fill it up. I put assorted purple candies inside in which we bought at SM Supermarket.

Cookies:

As part of the treat for the kids, we bought assorted cookies in cosmetic shape. Ysia loves it, the moment she saw it on the table. Even the adults were amazed. I packed the cookies individually in a cellophane bag and added a ribbon and tag. I also placed it in a clear bowl with shredded purple tissue paper that I bought in National Bookstore. I made the tag using plain white paper board and the spare gift wrapper that I used on the goody bag.

Cake:

Ysia wants her cake in purple, so we decided to made it customized. We came up with nail polish cake design for her. We even requested to put 4 ml on the side of the bottle, since its her 4th birthday.

Banner:

I love making birthday banners, its inexpensive and it plays a major role in your dessert table. I used gift wrapper and cartolina that I bought in National Bookstore and came up with this:

Other treats:

Who will ever thought that a regular quake and cream-O cake bar that you usually saw in local supermarket will make a big difference in your dessert table?... We bought two packs of each items and alternately put in a big purple and placed it in a big white tray, we also added cocktail toothpick on it to make it a little extra special.

We also have lollipop mallows as an alternative to those big and expensive lollipops that we bought at SM Supermarket for 20.00 pesos per piece. I also added purple ribbon and sticker on it and then I placed it in a recycled box which I covered with gift wrapper and shredded tissue paper.

Also, check out the napkin ring that I made using gift wrapper:

And since we love taking pictures, I made this purple tree background using photoshop and have it printed on tarpaulin.

JOLAN'S SIMPLE PRINCESS PARTY AT HOME

It's been quite sometime since I made this party for my Niece Jolan... It was a Princess theme party! it took me awhile to post it here because I thought the photos were deleted from my sister's cam... luckily I was able to grab these photos from my cousin's FB account.

So Here it is :)
party goodies
I personally bought the party bags in Divisoria and then I made sticker with the celebrant's name on it, the date of the party and some thank you note and placed it in front of the party bag.

party bannerIn exchange for a costly tarp I made this banner :)

Prince and princess crown
Instead of party hats we used crowns for a more royal ambiance :)

backdrop

The party will not be complete without the backdrop.
I made this one for her and for her guests to enjoy and I think they loved it! :)

candy kabobs
This is also known as Candy skewer...
Okay I made this one as additional treat for the kids but instead it turned out that the adults
are the one who got excited on this :)

Candy Caramel apple

I served candy caramel apple and candy chocolate apple for the kids, for a little snow white touched. I actually peeled it because most of the guests doesn't like the skin.

spoon, fork, cups and plates

I simply love the outcome of the napkin ring that I made :) We also used pink plastic cups and pink paper plate that we bought in SM Supermarket.

Hello Kitty Cake and cupcakes

Check this out! Hello kitty cake so cute and very affordable... A friend invited me to her daughter's 6th birthday, it was an intimate celebration. I set up her food table using some spare materials from my previous project. But what interest me the most is the birthday cake! :) I can't help myself but to took photo of it including the cupcake.

The cake not only looks good but taste good as well and the most interesting thing about it is that my friend bought it for only Php 550.00.

She also bought some cupcake for Php 15.00 pesos each:

AKIHIRO'S BAPTISM

I've been busy all day yesterday, making stuff for a friend for her son's baptismal that will take place this coming Easter Sunday (April 24, 2011). I work with his invitation, party favor and cupcake topper.

Here's the details:

PARTY FAVOR

For his favor I used baby bootie key chain as an alternative to those figurines.

INVITATION

My personal computer crashed and I still need to send it to computer repair shop, so I'm stuck with laptop without photoshop. But that doesn't stop me in making Aki's invitation and other baptismal stuff...and so my journey with Microsoft power point begins...

CUPCAKE TOPPER

Baby themed stuff are just the right touch for the event, so I decided to make baby carriage cupcake topper. Using paper board and tooth pick I came up with this...

Finally, I'm done!

MY FIRST ATTEMPT OF PACIFIER BALLOONS

I've been wanting to make a pacifier balloon ever since I saw one on the web. I think it's a perfect decoration for your baby's Christening or Baptism. You can use this as your table centerpiece, in exchange for those typical balloon bouquet.

Check out my first ever made balloon pacifier:

Sorry for the color combination, I just used the spare balloons from the previous party in making this sculpture.

The handle is a little bit slanted... again I apologize for that. I think I need a little more practice in making this sculpture. Maybe next time I will put here my on site photos, since I'm preparing this for the upcoming baptismal of my sister in law's baby. I'm planning to use helium for the balloon, and will use curling ribbon or perhaps tule for the string. I think that will look wonderful.

By the way the sizes of the balloons that I used in making this sculpture are:

1 pc Size 12 green balloon

4 pcs Size 5 yellow balloon

1 pc Qualatex 160 orange balloon

Note: You can also use Q260 balloon for your pacifier handle if you think think that the Q160 is a bit narrow for your taste.

NAUTICAL THEME BAPTISMAL

Okay, it was my first time to handled event such as this. It was my nephew's christening last May 2010. It took me so long to post this one. Anyway this craziness started when my youngest sister gave birth to a baby boy and she named it "SUMMER CZAR GAVIN", from then on she kept on telling me about her plan for her son's baptism. She want it extra special, not only that she actually wanted me to come up with a theme that is actually unusual for the event. I came up with NAUTICAL THEME, since this will suit to my nephew's name and it's still summer season.

It took me two months to prepare all the stuff we needed for the event, everything is DIY. Here's the details
